The job

What we did and why

This is a large clear-span steel building in Tinnie, in the Hondo Valley. With the slab still bare, we sprayed foam across the underside of the roof panels and down the wall panels between the girts, working around the windows, the walk-in door and the roll-up doors and leaving the steel frames bare.

Foam on the inside of the steel does two jobs: it insulates, and it seals the panel seams and fastener holes where outside air and dust get in. That helps a building this size hold its heat through a Lincoln County winter and stay cooler under the roof in summer.

What we installed

  • Spray foam across the underside of the roof panels
  • Spray foam on the wall panels, from the slab up
  • Sprayed up to and around the windows, the walk-in door and the roll-up doors
