The job

What we did and why

This steel building in Capitan has wood-framed rooms with windows and French doors, plus an open bay under the steel rafters. We sprayed foam into the rooms’ exterior stud walls and between their ceiling rafters, then onto the underside of the roof panels over the open bay, around the framed rooms.

Capitan sits at about 6,400 feet at the foot of the Capitan Mountains, so heating season runs long. Spraying the rooms and the steel shell in the same visit closes up both the finished rooms and the bay around them against the wind and the cold.

What we installed

  • Spray foam in the exterior stud walls of the framed rooms
  • Spray foam between the ceiling rafters of the framed rooms
  • Spray foam on the roof panels over the open bay, between the steel rafters
