The job
This new home in Ruidoso faces the mountains through tall windows and a set of glass doors out to a deck. We sprayed foam into the exterior wall cavities and between the ceiling rafters, working around the recessed light boxes and the framing at each window.
When a room is mostly glass, the walls and ceiling around it have to be tight. Foam seals the joints at the window framing, the top plates and the light boxes, which is where a mountain house tends to let cold air in when the wind comes over the ridge.
