The job

What we did and why

This metal building in Mayhill has roll-up doors along one side, a walk-in door and a couple of small windows, with the lights already hung from the roof. We sprayed foam over the inside of the wall panels and across the roof, up to the door frames and around the windows and fixtures.

Mayhill sits in the Sacramento Mountains at about 6,500 feet, where winter brings snow and hard freezes. Foam on the inside of the steel keeps a building like this from losing its heat through bare panels and seams, which makes it practical to heat and work in through the cold months.

What we installed

  • Spray foam on the wall panels, all four sides
  • Spray foam across the underside of the roof
  • Sprayed around the roll-up doors, walk-in door, windows and light fixtures
