The job
This home in Carlsbad has a vaulted great room, an attic over the rest of the house and an attached garage. We sprayed foam into the exterior walls, along the underside of the roof deck through the vaulted rooms and the attic, and on the garage walls and ceiling.
Insulating the garage is easy to skip on a new house and hard to add later. A foamed garage stays milder in summer and winter, and the wall it shares with the house stops acting so much like an outside wall. With the roof deck foamed too, the ducts running through the attic aren’t sitting in Carlsbad’s summer attic heat.
